Q: What is Vaulting?

A: Vaulting is the art of gymnastics on the back of a moving horse, performed to music. Check out the What is vaulting page.

Q: How old do I have to be to vault?

A: There is no set age to vault. We do not take children in the regular class until they are 6 or in the first grade but we offer a Tiny Tots class - usually in the summer - for the pre-schoolers.

Q: Where do the Falconwood Vaulters meet?

A: We meet at Falconwood Farms located at 10385 Hwy 278 in Covington, GA 30014.

Q: When do the vaulters have practice?

Trots: Mondays and Thursdays 4:30-6:30pm

Canters: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-6:30pm

Q: What type of organization is Falconwood Vaulters?

A: Falconwood Vaulters is a non-profit organization.

Q: How many vaulters does Falconwood Vaulters have?

A: Right now we have an average of 15 competitive vaulters.

Q: Do Parents have any involvement in the club?

A: Yes, our parents are involved with our club. They attend competitions, help at our own competitions and practices, send out notes, groom horses, sew, and help with parties.

Q: Where are vaulting competitions located?

A: Vaulting competitions are located all around the world. There are many teams in the United States that hold local, national, and regional competitions as well. In 2010 the World Equestrian Games will be located at the Kentucky Horse Park, this happens to be the first time ever that the WEG will be held in the United States!
